Introduction. The relevance of a problem is caused by the importance of definition of a role of normativity of behavior in creation of the course of life by the person. Purpose. To reveal psychological features of interrelation of normativity of behavior with vital orientations of students. Materials and methods. the following methods have been applied: theoretical – the analysis, a specification, generalization; empirical – a number of the techniques directed to identification of level of normativity of behavior, intelligence and satisfaction with life, a subject  object orientations of the personality in life situations, questionnaires on identification of the vital purposes and vital credo of students was used; methods of mathematical statistics. 126 first-year students of the humanitarian and psychology and pedagogical direction of the Cherepovets state university have participated in a research. From them young men – 54 persons, girls – 72. Average age of examinees – 18 years old. Results. Connection of normativity of behavior, sensibleness and intelligence of life with vital orientations at students is revealed. It has been established that high normativity, the sensibleness and satisfaction with life is more often shown at students with the “User of a Life Situation» type. This tendency is more expressed at young men, than at girls. Discussion of results. The research has shown that normativity of behavior as the personal characteristic performs a number of important functions in creation of the course of life by the person, and finds difficult and ambiguous connections with vital orientations. High level of normativity in combination with high sensibleness of life promotes formation of pragmatical orientation. It is shown that within each type of vital orientations the high or low level of normativity of behavior gives them certain specifics that finds expression in the choice of the vital purposes and formulations of vital credo. Conclusion. The received results can be used by teachers of higher education institutions, curators of groups in the course of the organization of teaching and educational work with students. They can be also useful to specialists of services of psychological escort of students.
