The Main Problems of practical Management Socio-cultural Processes in Chinese – Innovations and Traditions

Abstract

Introduction. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that modern Chinese society is experiencing a number of rapid changes due to the country’s economic growth, as well as urbanization, globalization and digitalization of various spheres of life. In the face of such challenges, local governments rely on national traditions that have been embedded in philosophical and religious movements such as Confucianism and Buddhism. The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the problems arising in the management of socio-cultural processes in modern Chinese society.

Materials and Methods. Within the framework of the research we used a complex of general and special methods of scientific knowledge, such as historical (in the framework of tracing the influence of existing philosophical and religious movements on the development of Chinese society), descriptive (in the context of presenting methods of adapting the ideas reflected in philosophical doctrines to the realities of Chinese society) and graphic (presentation of the obtained information by means of figures and tables).

Results. The identified problems of practical management of social and cultural processes were analyzed and systematized into a single typology: a) contradictions associated with social change; b) difficulties accompanied by the conflict between tradition and innovation; c) problematic issues related to the degree of implementation of digital technologies in various spheres of life of citizens.

Discussion and Conclusion. In the framework of the research, we have proposed measures to solve the problems of regulating the Chinese socio-cultural sphere, for example, the involvement of popular influencers in the process of making state decisions. The expected effect of their practical realization is the improvement of the quality of life of local residents.
