MONEY – AN IMPORTANT FACTOR OF SOCIAL EMANSIPATION

 

The article deals with the characteristic features of socio-economic importance and socio-cultural value of money. Human is a social creature, but only within a society he acquires a personality. The process of development of the diversity of the cultural is defined as the socialization, one form of which is economic socialization. In this respect, the influence of, particularly, modern forms of money (electronic and virtual) on the development of human freedom is analyzed. New forms of human dependence are discovered in the conditions of the modern market economy.

The paper ascertains of fact that development of money does not liberate man, but to the contrary, gives rise to new forms of non-freedom. It also the relation-ship and mutual influence between money and state and political power, resulting in a plethora of modern social phenomena-evil, corruption, abuse, and ways to overcome them.

In conclusion, it is determined that money is becoming a major factor of social emancipation of man in modern society, since it fundamentally changes value orientations and views on ethical norms of human.  Therefore, in current conditions of market economy it is of pillar importance to create a qualitatively different attitude towards money, by changing their function and turning it into instrument of formation of modern humanistic ethics.
