THE PHILOSOPHY OF PATRIOTISM: IMAGINARY, PINCHBACK AND TRUE PATRIOTISM
Introduction. The urgency of the formation and development of the ideology of patriotism has been exacerbated by the growing complexity of international relations between Russia and the West, Russia and the United States. In connection with these events, its interpretations became more active. The topicality of the problem led to the formation in society of varieties of patriotism, some of which are imaginary, false, ostentatious. Their danger lies in the fact that they hinder and damage the formation of a genuine, civilized patriotism in the mentality of Russia. The Purpose of the article is to analyze the formation of patriotism in the conditions of the socio-economic cri-sis, based on the protection of Russia’s national-state interests in combination with the interests of the mainstream masses of the population, on constant care for preserving and preserving the envi-ronment, respecting the achievements of the culture of another people, while preserving the highly developed feelings of one’s own worth. Materials and Methods. The theoretical and methodo-logical research strategy is an integrative approach that (in unity and interrelation with the sys-temic, activity, component, synergetic approach) provides the unification of various structures, elements, links of patriotism and the explanation of its integrative character. The Conclusions stemming from the content of the article are based on the study of special scientific literature on the subject of the article, as well as on the basis of visual observations and surveys of the local population. For this purpose, some states of the USA, the regions of Russia, the cities of New York and Washington were specially visited. The Results of the Research. An idealized model of genuine civilized patriotism was developed in the form of a balanced interrelation between the in-terests of the state and the population, the development of technical civilization and the social sphere of life, own national spiritual culture combined with respect for the achievements of culture and the greatness of another people. At the same time, the findings of the study show that for the formation of a true, civilized patriotism, connected with the protection of the interests of the peo-ple of their country, the preservation and development of one’s own dignity, it is necessary to give up blind worship to someone, mainly the West and the USA. Blind worship and imitation lowers the dignity of the people and does not contribute to the formation and development of patriotism. True patriotism does not deny the achievements of another country, but treats with respect and the desire to learn and adopt all the valuable and positive from another culture. Discussion and Con-clusions. The expected effect of the implementation of the developed model of civilized patriot-ism can be an increase in social activity of the population, enthusiasm, optimism, increased faith and hope for a bright future, which creates mental conditions in which talent, the desire to move forward, hard work is guaranteed. professional growth of young people in their homeland. The results of the research show that the growing tension between countries and social groups within the country leads to the emergence of negative, dangerous varieties of patriotism in the society – imaginary, ostentatious (false), and the task of philosophy, patriotic forces, is to contribute to the formation and development of a viciously civilized, modern patriotism.
